DOVER — The Esente Music Group is proud to announce that Tear Down The Sun has been selected to appear on the Maine Rockers 2010 CD. The group, made up of natives of Dover, was chosen out from hundreds of other performers from across Maine. This is the first time in history that free digital downloads have been used to raise drunken driving awareness.
Executive Producer AJ Fazio a student at Clarkson University says this about the act “This campaign is giving Tear Down The Sun the opportunity to use their talent and time to save lives and raise awareness for drunken driving prevention.”
Through Esente Music Group’s “Rockers and Hip Hop compilation series,” Tear Down The Sun, as well as 20 other Maine area unsigned artists have been given the chance to make a difference with their music and reach their fans with a life saving message; Never Drive Drunk.
Using social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter, as well as blogs and traditional PR, Esente Music Group is promoting the music from this CD to fans for free. The album artwork and music is free to fans, and the campaign is free to the musicians who are participating.
When people visit the page to hear the music, they will see a host of messages-designed by high school and college students-about the brutal costs of drunken driving and prevention messages. The campaign uses the music of these talented artists as a vehicle to reach music fans across the state and nationwide.
